{ ARTIST PHILOSOPHY }
I don't have many memories from my childhood, but ones that I do remember very clearly were of leaning art when I was in elementary school. I remember from a young age learning better when the assignment was hands on. I excelled when art projects were assigned, going as far as telling my family and teachers that I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. As my schooling continued I lost the path for becoming an artist (as my younger self wanted) as well as creating art due to not taking art classes in high school. I was pushed by my family to purse an education in business or science but I disliked it tremendously. I broke away from their expectations to study what I wanted community college which was art and have loved it ever since.
I believe that art is essential to have in ones life. It helps one be creative as well as express what is really in one's mind. One can have many different interpretations of a piece of art and find a representation of themselves through it. Im glad that I have chosen and continued this path in art and am excited to be able to share and teach others what I create. Art is a great form of self expression and everyone should be allowed to pursue it, regardless of what others think. Art is timeless. It should be appreciated such.
