Pop art was male dominated with few women getting recognition as they were not seen as profitable during their time. Their artworks still have not made as much money as their male counterparts, nor do they sell the same. Now with more exhibits highlighting female Pop artists, they are finally receiving the recognition they deserve.

It gave me a chance to think about female pop artists again. Come to think of it, I realized that there were few female pop artists I knew, and I thought I should get to know them more from now on. Thank you for telling me a good article!

This is a great article and its about time women get the recognition. You would think women get more recognition since women are portrayed in many pop art pieces back then.

Double standards like the one presented in this article are a shame. Speculation about how a woman artist would sell should have nothing to do with the judgment of her art. It’s Gould ways be about the art, not the finances.

Dope article! Cool to see females getting the proper recognitions. The art world needs to stop hiding females in mens shadows. Females are just as talented as men, if not more. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great article Ashley. I was not into art culture and didn't know much information but if anyone were to ask I'd only be familiar with male artists and it's possibly because of how women artists aren't talked about or recognized as often as male artists. Appreciate the information and very happy to know how far women artists have come and hope it reaches to the level it should!

The female artists have suffered in the art world for too long. It's wild to think that they'd be just as famous as Warhol if they were men. Great article! thanks for the share!
